I was working on another project and had some leftover concrete and I had one of those lightbulb moments! So let's get started before this stuff starts to set!
Take your dollar store cooling racks and cut a square out small enough to fit in a 5 gallon bucket
Grease the bottom of the bucket (i used vegetable oil) just a light coat
Take your cut rope pieces depending on how long you want them (i used four foot long pieces of sisal and a heavy yarn) tie it to equidistant places on the cooling rack piece you cut. Pour a little concrete in the bucket (maybe a half inch or so, enough to cover the whole bottom) stick in your piece of rack and leave the ropes hanging out of the bucket
Option two- stick your hooks right into wet concrete (equidistant, you want it to hang flat)
Let it dry, I covered mine with a plastic bag and left them in a shady spot for a couple days
Install your hooks where you want them to hang
Hang it up and enjoy! I made a few different sizes so I've got some on the front porch for potted plants as well
For the heavier rope I tied the top of the ropes together with a noose type knot, but you can try different knots to suit your needs. The ones that i placed the hooks right into the wet concrete, i made a macrame sorta hanger for them, but again, experiment with what you've got
