How do I make an in-expensive book shelf (magazine style rack)?
how do i make an in-expensive book shelf (magazine style rack) for my 20+ cook books? i want to put it up on a bare wall, that's on the side of my fridge; for easy access (and to get them out of a box and actually use them)

The cheapest way is to find a used one already made and just paint it.
Go to garage sales, goodwill, thrift shops, etc. Remember to measure your space and carry the tape measure with you when you go looking. Think out of the box on how to repurpose a something other than a bookcase.
Big box home improvement centers have tons of wood and metal brackets to choose from as well as pre cut shelving that you can stain or paint to match your decor. Quick and easy!
4 pieces of timber -main frame
2 pieces of dowel or square timber - between main frames 3/4" down from top
Now cross main frames and at join approx 1/3rd up from bottom. (screw through both and secure) Poss. wing nut or bolt. Uncross and stand.
Sling a piece of fabric across top bars ans secure - (Like a hammock).
