under the shelf I am attaching a galvanized pipe to hang clothing on. What could I use to attach the shelf to the wall that would go with the reclaimed wood and galvanized pipe

You can make your own shelf supports using a length of galvanized pipe cut to the shelf depth. Attach the pipe to the wall using a flange and then cover the exposed end with an end cap. Above ideas are perfect! The first picture we use black pipe (gas pipe) for curtain rods in the living room with some small fittings! The valance is attached to small ceiling section! And the shelf we just finished today is old barn wood plank and we used shelf brackets and of course a stud finder! Good luck!
You could paint the braces gray, then speckle the braces with one shade darker in gray. Do this before you mount the braces. Use a low gloss sealer on the wood so steam and other humidity will not warp the shell over time. Btw, I would wax the pipe so clothes hangers glide freely. ☺️
