If you cannot nail it like a normal baseboard, you can use Liquid Nails, comes in tube like caulk.

Liduid nails or Locktite Power Grab to glue the baseboard.
The baseboard would get nailed into the studs on the wall. It is not connected to the floor it just sets on top of it allowing the floor to continue free-floating.
Yes, ours is nailed to the wall...not the floor. Need the floor to expand and contract and be free floating.
