How can I use crown molding in a small home with small rooms?
I love crown molding and would like to use it in some way in my home. I am worried that using crown molding in a small area will only make the room appear smaller.
The most inexpensive is to get two thinner pieces of crown moulding and install them with a space between so it looks like one large piece. Yes, beautiful wide crown moulding is expensive.
Crown moulding is also made in plastic. That would be cheaper.
You could check your local “Restore” for used crown molding. If you are not sure what I am talking about, the Restore store (Habitat for Humanity sponsered) takes donations from the public and commercial companies and then resells them. I have managed to get several good deals there.
