Bar Keepers friend. Won't scratch the surface. Baking soda and a damp sponge. I also use a wet sponge with Dawn dish liquid

A paste of baking soda and water can remove baked-on puddles of sauce or gravy. Leave the baking soda paste on the stubborn stains for at least 30 minutes before rubbing off with a damp cloth.

The best way to clean the stove top is to work from top to bottom or left to right in small areas. Use small circular motions across the surface of the cooktop to gather up bits of grease and food as you work. Rinse the stove top down with a damp cloth and buff dry. Repeat the last two steps, if necessary, for a sparkling porcelain range.

BarKeepers Friend comes in powder (add water) and liquid, this should gently remove any residue from cooking. Work with a microfiber cloth that is damp, clean gently, rinse with clear water on another microfiber cloth.

Soak the drip pans in warm, soapy water if they are dirty. Wipe down the top of the stove with a damp rag to remove any loose debris. Scrape heavy food residue from the porcelain surface with a plastic knife or scraper. Avoid using metal scrapers because these will scratch the porcelain.

What ever you do DO NOT use a magic eraser, it will scratch your stovetop. I use Barkeepers friend Liquid on mine when it gets bad, but Windex will clean it nicely.

My new stove says DON'T use Windex, I got Weiman's Stove Top Cleaner in the jar with a pad to scrub off the mess. I also use hot water and a bamboo cloth to loose up stuff first. Another recommended cleaner is Cerama-Bryte.
