Is there an easy way to clean a fan above stove?

I have a beautiful fan above my stove, it is wood and I clean it often to keep grease etc off---but my problem is trying to clean the stainless steel part underneath. Being short I have to use a stool and I just have problems. I found a good cleaner but wanting to know if thee is an easier way to accomplish this. Thanks for your help.

Can it not be removed so you can soak it? Mine comes off and I use KRUD KUTTER for grease and it's awesome!

Yes, Candy is right. I take mine off all the time, hand wash it, and also put it in the top rack of the dishwasher.

The filter screen should be removable for cleaning and replacement. They are usually held in with clips, or slide/snap in. Take another look and wear gloves, as sometimes the metal can be sharp and the edges can cut easily.

Do you still have the pamphlelt that came with the fan? It should show you. If you still are unsure how to remove it, take a picture of the fan with the brand name if you can find it, and repost your question.

It sounds to me you are not talking about the filter but the part the filter is housed in??

I would check a product called Shiney Sinks! Usually found at local grocery by the cleansers comes in a liquid . It doesn't streak as easy like detergent.

Or Simple Green is a good degreaser
