I followed the suggestion of washing them with hot, soapy water and then according to instructions, put them in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. They are still greasy and look terrbile.

Hi Rlatulipe, use Bi Card of Soda. Mix a little in to a past, apply using your fingers, (wear rubber gloves here) Place stove grills in a warm oven 5- 10 mins. Remove, using an old tooth brush, scrub the gunk off, then wash as usual. Some times, depending on how dirty the grills are, you may need to leave them in the overn a bit longer or repeat the process. It's the heat combined with the Bi Card of Soda that healps remove the gunk. Allso, if you have a burnt pan, you can use the same method. Boil some water in the burnt pan. Place two heaped teaspoons of Bi Carb of Soad in to the boiling water, turn stove temp to simmer, after a few mins, ster the water gently with a wooden spoon, scrappin the sides and the bottom of the pan to looson the gunk. Once the gunk stars to come away, tip the water out @ wash as usual. Depending on how durnt the pan is, you may need to repeat the process. This is the method I use! Kay Adelaide Australia

I used the wire brush on mine while still on the grill. Got a lot of cooked on junk off used the metal scraper “ears” to get stuck on stuff off. Then took it outside and sprayed it with Easy-off. let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Scrubbed top and bottom with the wire brush. Rinse it well. Must season as with cast iron skillets. Spray vegetable oil liberally
