How can I get this clean?

I would first try a paste / mix of baking soda and white vinegar - its saved me in the past as my last resort before buying commercial products. I would try leaving it on over night, removing and then doing it again as many times as needed.

Hi Louise, you might try mixing either white vinegar OR hydrogen peroxide with baking soda. The baking soda is just a wee bit abrasive and the paste can be worked into the area without harming the surface beneath. A nylon scrubbie could be used. You might also try soaking the area first to soften the debris by placing a very wet cloth around the element for 30 minutes or so. If all this fails, you might try scraping the debris away with a plastic scraping tool/spatula after the area has been soaked well.

I use a product called Cerama Bryte on my glass top stove. It's very gentle and I use it on my porcelain sink and dish ware. It may work on your stove, it's similar to Bar Keeper's Friend. I'm not sure about the cruelty free aspect, so you could call them ask, they were lovely when I called to ask about non-toxic properties, because I don't generally use chemicals.

I always just used an SOS pad, gently so the stove wouldn't get scratched.

Hi! Wring out a microfiber cloth with hot water and then cover the area. After the cloth has sat there (overnight works), use the same cloth to scrub the area. A paste of baking soda works, as does a powder like Bon Ami. I have used a razor blade scraper for really tough areas in the past. Good luck!

There is a chemical at the Dollar Tree that is called Amazing ! YOu so need this .. spray let it sit and wipe .. it truly is amazing .. I had pot looking like this and all is looking brand new now

I would leave degreaser soaked wet rags on it for a day and let it “sink in” before taking a nylon green scrubber to it.

I’m also a fan of holding a single edge razor blade at a low angle and shaving the softened gunk off.

Make a paste of baking soda and water, apply it and let it set at least 8 hours, moisten if needed, then take a scrubbie sponge and use the scrubbie side and clean it off. Rinse with clean water on a microfiber cloth.

Make a paste with baking soda and ammonia. Make it thick. Spread it on the stove and leave for about an hour. Get a soft scrubbie and it will come right off. Or get some grill cleaner spray and let sit for a few minutes then wipe off.

I suggest you use vinegar and baking soda, it has been working for. Especially in this kinds of situation.

First of all, you are in good company by not wiping it clean after every use! I have used oven cleaner to clean this but had to do it twice and it removes it.

Try a magic eraser or Bar Keeper’s Friend with a scrubby.
