Try mixing a solution of warm water and blue Dawn. Dip a good scrubbing sponge and scrub away. Then wipe down with a clean damp rag. If it's a really bad build up you will probably have to use a degreaser before the detergent solution.

  • Needs to be washed thoroughly between each use. Oil gets rancid quickly and you will end up with funky tasting popcorn. Where are the manufacturers instructions? Look up on line if you no longer have them.

A good soak with hot water, dish soap and a cup of white vinegar.

Wash it in kitchen sink, (it probably all comes apart, or at least enough to clean it.), Wash in very HOT TAP WATER, with about 1/2cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup lemon ammonia. (Wear a face mask, & rubber gloves, & keep window open, or run a fan in area you are working in. The 2 things (vinegar and ammonia) will get it cleaned of the grease and gunk. Then you'll need to wash entire thing (every piece U cleaned in amm & vin concoction) in hot water & dish soap, rinse & dry, before using again. Ammonia is toxic if U don't wash it after initial cleaning, but the amm & vin concoction in hot water is safest, (assuming you wear face mask and rubber gloves, & have proper ventilation) & cheapest way to get rid of the GREASE & gunk/dirt. But u must then wash off the amm/vin concoction, with soap & water. U will love the end results.

Hi Lois. Try scrubbing it with bar keepers friend. Good Luck!
