Ceramic stove top should really be cleaned with its own ceramic cleaner. There are several available including Weimans. Put a drop about the size of a nickel on your top. Using lots of water, scrub in little circles. Then, without rinsing, polish dry with a dry cloth. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071QX46S7/ref=mp_s_a_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1533789142&sr=8-4&keywords=cooktop+cleaner+weiman

Your grocery or hardware store should have a special cream cleaner for a ceramic stove top. Shake the container well and put about 6 drops on the surface and rub it with a paper towel. Repeat with a fresh paper towel. If it hasn’t been cleaned for a while there is probably some burned-on food. If it is hard to scrub off the burned food you might need to get a single-blade razor scraper and GENTLY scrape the surface. If you press too hard you will scratch the surface. Your stove top should be cleaned after each use or the grease will get burned on again.

Hi Debbie, my aunt and uncle tried everything to make their stop too look nice and they brought home a cooktop cleaner with the scrapper and it was super easy and quick. They had just bought the house and it’s possible that you may not need as much cleaning.

I shutter to tell you what I do but I don’t like water spots after wiping it. After I clean w vinegar I use an arisol window cleaner and a paper towel to make me happy and I haven’t seen anything happen to my stove top.

I use a product called Cerama Bryte. It is made specifically for ceramic stove tops. It takes just a few drops to do the whole top. I start by putting it directly on specific stains and then rub it all over the top with a paper towel. It dries quickly, much like a turtle wax finish does on a car. You then rub it down with a microfiber cloth. It will shine beautifully. If there are some tough spots that don't come off gently use a single edged razor to remove it. Just make sure it is a sharp blade as that will not scratch the top. I've had my stove for a couple of years and it still looks new. I am now using only the second bottle of it and I do it two to three times a week. I haven't found any other product that does the job like this one does. Home Depot carries it. And no, I am not a representative of the company that makes it. LOL I just swear by it as it works so well.

Mine came with a razor blade to scrape off burnt on food and use a scrubby plastic one with soap
