Here are some suggestions that I've found helpful in our rental homes. https://www.bobvila.com/articles/smelly-fridge/
clean with white vinegar and baking soda then put a couple of paper towels rolled into balls with one drop of vanilla flavoring on them and leave in the freezer for several hours it has removed the smell of dead fish in coolers, fridges, etc
Scrub with white vinegar and baking soda than put it outside left open and on its side. After a few days that should take care of it!

Have you tried washing with baking soda ,and then bleach
When you put the freezer on the cold will disolve the smell.leave it on a day with nothing in it
Once thoroughly cleaned, I would let it run and put a container of coffee grounds in to absorb the odor. Good luck!
I hope this helps:

Just make use of activated charcoal, clean kitty litter or baking soda on the shelves of the refrigerator or freezer.
Wipe down the entire surface with OdoBan. It is a disinfectant that is designed to remove odors. You may want to do with twice. If you cannot get the smell out after that, I would be looking to the contractor for a replacement. You might want to pursue that anyway.
Call the contractor and ask him how they plan on fixing this problem.
Unfortunately due to the types of plastic that freezers are generally made from, sometimes smells, especially from spoiled foods with a high protein content, can be permanent.
I agree with Mogie, that if the contractor is responsible for the damage, then they should also be held responsible for replacing the freezer and/or the food that was inside. They should have at least looked inside the freezer to check on what the contents were before unplugging it.

I would set out several bowls of baking soda. I'd also take everything out of the fridge and discard whatever is bad or expired, wipe down the shelves and put everything back in that you're keeping.
Try fresh coffee grounds
Charcoal draws odors out why not give that a try?
