Should wipe off with mold mildew shower cleaner like scrubbing bubbles, may need gentle toothbrush rubbing if resistant and to get into gasket grooves. Do not be too forceful As not to damage gasket.
Use soapy water, a soft brush and then wipe with baking soda...
Use spray bleach cleaner.
Bleach
Isnt it awful? Do a first cleaning with something like Lysol or Pinesol and water. Get into all the folds of the gasket. Note any places where the gasket is broken, very worn, or open to the air. Then wash the entire gasket with bleach water, including in open crevices. If you are not going to replace the gasket, use white duct tape to mend every broken or worn part of the gasket, pressing the tape into each fold, not covering it up. clean the fridge every month or more often and include washing the gasket. 😇
I can't use chemicals. I use a wet magic eraser with dishwashing liquid & rinse warm water with towel. Test it first my refrig. Is old.
Spray the mold with hydrogen peroxide. Removes mold withouth the irritation that bleach has.
I rub with lysol disinfecting wipes, lemon & lime or clorox wipes.
