A pot of sugar, honey and water boiled over. I managed to scrape off the hardened stuff but am left with burnt on spots. I’ve tried Bar Keepers Friend, SOS pad, Magic Eraser and soap and water....no luck.

If none of the above has worked, you might try spraying oven cleaner following the instructions on the can.

    Good luck

I have glass top and don't use anything with ammonia in it like oven cleaner it will etch the glass . Just use the cloth wet with vinegar and let it set on burnt area then scrub with green scrubber pad adding a little baking soda for scrubbing or even scrape gently with single edge razor blade just don't scratch it. it will work even if you need to repreat it.This is from numerous online sites I know it seems logical to use a glass cleaner on a glass stovetop, but it's not a good idea. The ammonia in the glass cleaner is too strong for cleaning a stove top and can lead to damage. If it is a glass top cook top, you may not be able to get it looking good again. I have a glass cook top and was told if I were to get hot sugary syrup on it, it would cause etching and not be able to get it off. I hope you have good luck.
