I tried googling your question, but all info was about how to clean the Neptune to get rid of smelly interior problem, so my advice is to ask the store where you purchased what would be safe to use to not damage the exterior finish. I would think any kind of non-abrasive cleaner should work, similar to what you use on a refrigerator or other appliance.
How old is the washing machine? Has it been standing next to a window or in line with direct sunlight? If so, then over time it is yellowing just to the discolouration from the sun.
Perhaps try replacing your present lights (are they flourescent or incandescent bulbs?) with the newer white LED bulbs and see if this brightens up the look of the washer.
