Hi Sharon, here is how you clean stainless steel inside your microwave. Microwave Stainless Interior Cleaning Recommendations

Heat one cup of water on full power for three minutes. The heat and steam help to soften the food.
After the three minutes, allow five additional minutes of stand time.
Then, clean as usual. A plastic pad or scrubber can be used.

Peggy is right, this works well...the steaming hot water loosens the stuck on splatterings and they just wipe off.

I use windex or store brand name of the same to clean inside my microwave, OR Simple Green which is not only great on grease, but also deodorizes inside the microwave. I put the glass tray in my dishwasher to clean it at least once a week. Hope this helps. You can also use Simple Green wipes which are really handy!
