How to remove burnt plastic from an electric stove burner?

A plasmid butter lid was put on the burner got most of it off but the small pieces of plastic are being stubborn.

let it cool and use razer blade
ice cube and putty knife
Warm to low and wipe off
scrape what u can and turn burner on low and burn off... a bit smelly but hey it works...dhall
agree with Fsc1986 Work every time. If have to in other instances, you can use new sharp razor blade. Putty knife {I wouldn't use}
Try using a razor blade to gently scrape it off.
