What is the best way to clean a very dirty oven?

    Hi Tom, there is usually a broil/clean setting on most ovens. I would start with that, it will require you to lock the oven door and probably open a window. Once that's complete and the oven is cooled entirely, make a paste of baking soda and vinegar and slap it on any areas that need it and let it sit (this goes for the top too if its a glass top electric range) once it has sat for at least 15 minutes good ol elbow grease and a grease fighting soap.

    Easy Off Oven Cleaner using gloves and a mask, and opening the windows. The warm oven method works best. I have also heard of people putting ammonia in a disposable pie pan in a warm oven overnight. Then wiping out the crud the next morning.
