If it is a self defrosting, just wipe it out with vinegar water and dry it. The vinegar has antibacterial properties that will clean it well.

vinegar? Just plain warm water will work, forget the chemicals use a little dawn, very little. No need to use vinegar on everything. Where does that idea come from, the 1920's ? It might not be compatible with the material in the fridge. It is acetic acid. Good warm water and a teeny bit of dawn will work and not hurt anything. 10 minutes and you are done.

Os the freezer dirty or does it smell? If dirty, the Dawn and warm water will work. If it smells, but a pound of freshly ground coffee, place in a bowl and put in your freezer for a couple of days. Your freezer will be odor free in no time.

I remove everything from my freezer and use a microfiber cloth with baking soda and water to wipe everything down. Then...lightly dry everything so you don't get a "frosted" coating. Then, replace all your frozen goods.

I make some soapy dish water in the sink, wash out my freezer, and then while I'm at it, I wash down the front of the fridge, stove , dishwasher, and lastly I wash out the garbage can. All when all's done, make a cuppa tea. lol
