Who doesn’t like to take a long, relaxing shower after a day of work? But imagine, if your shower is dripping water instead of providing you a steady flow of water supply. Frustrating,?

Don’t worry because we bring to you an effective and easy way to descale your handheld shower head without any need of a plumber.
Vinegar and Toothbrush
Get the necessary Equipment

Find an old yet clean toothbrush and get some white vinegar which can easily be found in your kitchen.Any white vinegar will do for this process.

Pour the vinegar into a mug or a bucket (anything your handheld shower will fit into)

Make sure you have enough so the shower is completely submerged in the vinegar.

Note: The multiple cleaning benefits of vinegar and its ease of availability make it the ideal cleaning agent for homemakers.
Soak Shower Head in Vinegar Solution

Next up, you need to place the shower in the mug for about 20-25 minutes or even overnight, depending on the intensity of the build up.

If there is a lot of limescale build up then leave it for the whole night unless your shower head is made out of brass, in that case, 30 minutes is more than enough.

If you keep it more than 30 minutes, your brass shower head is likely to get damaged.
Scrub with a Toothbrush

After that, you can rinse the vinegar off your shower head with water and use a toothbrush to take care of the remaining stains and residue.

Make sure that you take special care to remove the residue from the nozzle and gently scrub off the residue from your shower head.

Rinse it with cold water once done and keep repeating this process until the entire residue is gone to make it look as good as a new shower head.
Rinse and Dry your Shower Head

When you have successfully removed the residue, rinse it with cold clean water again and then dry it with the help of a soft cloth.

Make sure that you gently wipe the shower head and don’t leave any spot or else there might be a water stain on your shower head.
