here is some info for you but what I do is clean my bowl thoroughly once a week and then in between I make sure to wipe it down with disinfecting wipes (don't flush them) to keep it fresh since my toilets get a lot of use

Make sure you push as much water out of it as possible.
Begin at the under the rim with a good toilet bowl cleaner. I really like Fuller brand but there are many that work well.
Scrub your way down to the bottom.
Let it sit with the cleaner in place for at least 5 minutes. I sit the bowl brush across the toilet and sit the lid down so that it drips into the bowl. Scrub again.
If you have stubborn stains, you can use a scouring stick to scrub those off.

Hello. Are you having any particular cleaning problems? When commercial cleaners fail I generally resort to the pumice stick and that solves my issues.
