Since we don't have a septic tank, I will have to ask one of my plumber buddies for the septic safety measures...

I, recently, saw a vlog on a toilet cleaning that seemed so simple! I've yet to try it, but I will, promptly, let you know how it works for me!

1)put vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the inside of the bowl

2)add a few drops of essential oil (optional)

3)sprinkle baking soda into the bowl. Let fizzle. Brush and flush

I would avoid any harsh chemicals, but most toilet cleaners should be rated for septic tanks. There are products like Rid-X or baker's yeast that can be put into the bowl and flushed to help keep septic tank working better. This last suggestion may not help toilet cleaning, but it helps the life of the septic tank.

I was told that one should NEVER EVER use cleaning products with chlorine bleach when you have a septic tank. Vinegar works great, though.
