If you can remove it, place it in a bowl of vinegar overnight to clean it. Use a soft cloth to clean it, rinse, dry, and replace. If you can't remove it, place a baggie of vinegar over it and attach with rubber band. Then soak paper towels in vinegar and wrap around the parts that will not go in the baggie. Leave overnight. Scrub with wet cloth, rinse, and dry. In the future, wipe the shower head off with dry cloth after each use and it will sparkle.

How to Clean a Showerhead
Hi Jaquana,
Grab a plastic bag, a rubber band and some vinegar. Fill the plastic bag with vinegar, put in the shower head and wrap the elastic around the top of the bag to hold it in place. Let it sit overnight then remove the bag & use the shower. :) All of the mineral stains should come off with just a rinse, but you can also polish the shower head with a soft cloth. Wishing you the best.
I would do as others have said with the bag and vinegar, but I would also add bicarbonate of soda. The reaction with the vinegar will clean it better.
