  • Mix vinegar and Dawn dish soap 50/50 in a spray bottle. Spray it on and let it work. If the stains are really tough, scrub with a plastic scrubbie.

  • A pumice scouring stick works well. I got mine at Lowes.

We have found 3 satisfactory ways. Hope one of them helps, Arleen. First the turbo hurricane scrubber you can buy in Walmart really does the job with ANY preferred cleanser. Second, you can get pumice stones that do not scratch porcelain if you take it easy and they remove the mineral / hard water stains. Third, Mr. Clean makes a scrub for porcelain use (including commodes) that is really good at removing stains.

    Hi Arleen, hope this helps.

Mix half water and half white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray the entire sink or tub until it's saturated. Let the vinegar and water work on the hard water stains for 20 minutes. Respray the stained areas and scrub them with an old toothbrush.

    1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and fresh water in a spray bottle.
    2. Once a week, fully saturate surfaces, let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
    3. Wipe clean with a clean, dry microfiber towel. (You can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil, too.)

Mix equal parts distilled white vinegar and water, and spray the solution all over your shower and tub. Pay particular attention to the worst of your hard water stains. Let the solution sit for 10–15 minutes so it has a chance to really work on them. Then, using a rag, wipe away the solution.
