Here are several projects on the subject:

I spray mine with white vinegar and scrub with an old toothbrush around the jets if it begins to get a build up.

I fill a container with vinegar and put the shower head in it, just enough vinegar to cover the jets. This shower head is at the end of a flexible tube.

If yours is stationary, you can do the same with a Baggie containing the vinegar. Just rubber band it around the pipe.

After soaking, clean the jets with a toothbrush.

    Hi Sylvia,

I put vinegar in a plastic bag and tie (or use a rubber band) it around my shower head, making sure that the holes are in the vinegar. I let it sit for a couple of hours then rinse the outside of the shower head and run it for a few minutes. That clears out the old mineral deposits and makes the shower head gleam. Wishing you the best.

  • Put vinegar in a zip lock bag and tie it around the shower head and leave it for 12 hours if possibly. It all just wipes off.
