Even magic eraser will not remove this yellow ring.

Have you tried vinegar and sugar? Sugar is a great exfoliant and I use vinegar to clean EVERYTHING !
Bar Keepers powder cleansing found in the cleaning products aisle of grocery stores, Wal Mart, etc. Make a paste and scrub.
If that doesn't work try 20 Mule Team Borax
Try CLR - it could be mineral build-up. Or try Barkeepers Friend and a non-scratch scrubby, really give it a go. Be patient, you may have to rub away at it for awhile. I have used Barkeepers Friend successfully on removing built-up layers of the white crud around faucets in kitchens and bathrooms.
