    Just carefully trim off.

  • I use my shower liners inside out so the ridge doesn't face the water.

Give your curtain a few shakes after showing to remove some of the water, spread the curtain across the length of the opening then slide it back open a few inches at each each to allow air flow to speed drying. Run the ventilation fan for 30 minutes after the shower.

Vinyl shower curtains can be washed in the washer.

I prefer fabric shower curtain liners, they shed water like an umbrella and dry quite fast if you follow the same directions I listed above. Also, I turn my fabric curtain liners "wrong" side out to prevent soap collecting in seams; it's a white curtain so no one can tell with the decorative curtain hiding the seams of the liner.

    Hope this helps!

  • Use a liner. I have a "hotel style" fabric liner which dries quickly. When dirty, pop in the washer. I hang up damp. It is very dry where I live and it dries quickly.

Always draw the shower curtain closed after using. I use a cheap liner inside the tub and have a pretty curtain on the outside. I can buy the liners for about $6. Once the liner gets moldy I either throw it in the washing machine or just buy a new liner (depending on $$ in my jeans at the moment)

I have a fabric curtain and liner, which may be a little more money, but actually cheaper and easier in the long run. I take down both and spray with Shout or a spray bottle of DIY cleaner, (baking soda, hyd. peroxide and vinegar) and put in washer and dryer. I also spray the DIY spray, mentioned above, or some Corox on the bottom, of the white liner, in between washings.

move rod up so it doesn't hang so low in tub & sit in water while you are showering

Alternative to taking the liner down to clean is filling a 5 gallon bucket with bleachy water. sit it on a waterproof stool/chair in the shower. Gather the liner and plunge into the the bleachy water slosh around an let sit for a while. Check to see if the scrum is gone. remove from bucket and rinse.

I get shower liners, and I make sure the shower curtain is outside the tub when taking a shower.
