How do you remove black mold spots around edge of bathtub?
Bathfitters replaced a tub in one of our rentals a few years ago. There are some black mold spots on the caulking where the top of tub and back wall meet.
Soak paper towels with diluted bleach, place around the tub, and let sit. When you remove the paper towels, the mold should be cleaned up. Remember to always use caution when dealing with bleach and mold, they are hazardous to your health. I suggest wearing gloves and a mask.
There are special mold removers you can buy but this is the method I have used https://structuretech1.com/moldy-shower-caulk/
It worked really well.
I use Clorox Clean up and a mask. Then rinse throughly.
Is it grout around the tiles, or is it caulk that is around the edge of the tub where the tub meets the tile? If it is the caulk you will need to remove it and replace with a new bead of silicone caulk that is mold/mildew proof or resistant. Hope this helps. Caulk is fairly easy to remove by cutting it with a razor blade and it should come out by pulling on it.
I spray it with peroxide.
Then scrub with Clorox water
Plain old white vinegar! Vinegar kills mold spores, bleach does not.

The bleach will de-colorize the mold, to apply it, you can use the cotton balls or paint it on with a brush. Rinse the next morning and then spray it with vinegar. The vinegar will kill the mold and spores.
Heat up 1 cup of white vinegar, mix in about 1/4 cup of Dawn Premium. Not the dollar store kind, because it is too thin. When mixed, pour into a spray bottle and fill with water. Shake. Spray down the grout and let it sit overnight. In the morning rinse. If you have stubborn stains, spray again. Use this mixture a few times a week. It will keep your grout and tiles clean. Also works wonders in the toilet bowl to keep hard water stains at bay. Oh you only have to heat the vinegar one time when you add the Dawn.
Make a paste using 1/2 cup baking soda and several teaspoons of water. Using a brush, rub the paste on the mold-affected grout areas and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse the baking soda thoroughly and repeat to make sure the area is clean and mold-free.
