Looking for a easier way to get good results on removing water spots and soap scum from sliding shower doors. Does a 'no scrub' solution exist?

Glass stove top cleaner works wonders for me! I was amazed how well it worked when I used it in the shower doors! :)

Renee, yes! I clean professionally and I use a soap scum remover on the glass. The first time or two, it will require a little bit of scrubbing, but after that a regular application of soap scum remover can just be sprayed on, wipe down with cloth, then rinse.

To get it up to par, I spray soap scum remover such as scrubbing bubbles or lysol power bath on the glass. Let it sit for several minutes and then use a nylon scrubby to gently scrub the glass. Rinse and repeat while the scum is soft. Subsequent weekly cleanings will only need to be sprayed on, wait a minute, wipe down and rinse.

To get a final shine, I usually use a glass cleaner and dry cloth to buff it.

Get it real clean with a Turbo Hurricane Scrubber is the easiest way, using your preference of cleaner We use Simple Green as it is not toxic. Then keep it clean after each shower spray the walls and doors with Shower to Shower to keep the soap scum and minerals off the walls/doors.

Just tonight, I read to lightly spray the shower doors with PAM cooking spray then wait 30 minutes before you wipe it down with warm water + 1 tsp DAWN dish liquid. Rinse well with clear water, then I will squeegy dry. Going to try it tomorrow, & plan to use monthly (or as needed) to keep it sparkling. I usually squeegy after every shower, anyway. Hoping it works!

After you get it clean, keep a plain plastic squeegee in every shower. We squeegee after every single shower and we only have to deal with shampoo and soap scum about every three months. Then I use Scrubbing Bubbles, let it rest while I clean the sinks, then I use a scrubber sponge on all the glass with some good rinsing. It’s worked for nine plus years! Here’s to clean shiny shower doors!

All of these will work. After you get it clean you will need to wipe your shower and doors dry after every shower.

Shampoo will cut it then spray with Wet and Forget.

  • Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 solution of Dawn dish soap and vinegar. Spray it on the hard water stains and let it work.
