Prime Day. It’s all anyone is able to talk about. But what exactly is it? Allow us to enlighten you.
Amazon - we all know what that is, right? It’s the world’s largest online retailer where you could pretty much order anything your heart desires.
So now that we have that down, what is Amazon Prime? It’s a paid subscription program where you have access to lots of additional services, such as free shipping, unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows, free eBooks, lots of deals and discounts, and much much more.
What is Prime Day?
Now, to get back to why you’re here, let us explain what Prime Day is. It’s essentially a 48-hour holiday that you don’t want to miss out on. Every year, Amazon offers major discounts across all of its product categories for two days. This year, it falls out on June 21 and June 22. That’s in under two weeks, so mark your calendars - amazing deals are headed your way!
Who has access to Prime Day sales?
If you’re thinking that this is all too good to be true, there is a catch: Only Amazon Prime members have access to these incredible deals. This has a quick fix though. It’s super simple to sign up for Amazon Prime, and you immediately get a free 30-day trial before having to commit to the monthly fee of only $13 (which, by the way, is so worth it in order to be able to take advantage of all of the year-round perks).
Want to start planning your wish list? Browse through Amazon’s Home Essentials section to get a sense of what kinds of products you’re going to be watching for great deals and sales.
Pro tip: Amazon won't be the only one with deals this Prime Day. Other retailers like Target, Macy’s, Home Depot, Best Buy, and Dyson have jumped on the trend to stay competitive. Make sure to check out these stores online to see what kinds of deals they're offering. You can even compare prices and shop around for the best bargain.
