Erin Tallant on Sep 12, 2016First use a towel to get most of the pee out of the carpet. Then, mix 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water, spray on the stain and then cover with baking soda. This will get the smell out of the carpet. Let this sit for about 10 mins and then vacuum up the baking soda.Helpful Reply

Eloise on Sep 12, 2016My sister swears by this stuff: http://getseriousproducts.net/ I don't know whether ot not it's available in pet stores or just on line. She's had as many as 13 cats at one time (down to 5 now) and has used this for years. Her carpet, now about 10 years old, still looks great.Helpful Reply

Kathy Bitzan on Sep 13, 2016I use the vinegar and baking soda and remember to blot up most of it first. Step on it because it gets in the pad. I heard they don't like citrus but that does not apply to my cat. So spray some extra vinegar around so she gets the idea of using the litter box. Haha my cat goes out side but comes in to use her box so who knows about them, really!Helpful Reply
