Somehow I got cooking oil on my favorite comforter and cant get the smell out. I lost everything in the Carr fire and cant get a new one for awhile. I cant just throw it away. Any suggestions on removing the oil stain and smell out are appreciated.

  • Maybe a laundry mat will have a large enough machine. You can also put it outside on the washing line and spray it with Fabreze to freshening it up.

Pour at least a cup of vinegar in the first rinse cycle of your washer. The vinegar should cut the smell and the grease.

Sam's Club sells a product called Odo-Ban which is quite good at neutralizing smells.
