How do I get cooking oil and the smell out of my good blanket?
Somehow I got cooking oil on my favorite comforter and cant get the smell out. I lost everything in the Carr fire and cant get a new one for awhile. I cant just throw it away. Any suggestions on removing the oil stain and smell out are appreciated.

Maybe a laundry mat will have a large enough machine. You can also put it outside on the washing line and spray it with Fabreze to freshening it up.
Dawn dishwashing liquid applied directly where the oil is.
use dawn to wash the blanket, but do not use a lot in the washer.
just a couple drops. it will get grease out. if the smell is still in there.
