Blot stain, put a little dawn dish soap on it for about an hour(of course after you test the fabric) wash, let dry and check. Repeat as necessary.

Hello, I got grease on one of my tops and I washed and dried it so I didn't know if it would come out. I put dawn ultra on it and scrubbed the material together to try to loosen up the grease. I let it set for about 15 minutes and then washed and dried it again. It came out so you might want to try it.

Some people swear by Dawn dish soap, the absolute best ever stain remover I have and it's the only one I use now is Zout. I get it at Walmart. I spray it on and let it sit, even over night and I've had luck with 95% of everything I ever treated.

I swear by Spray and Wash, and add a bit of laundry borax to the wash.

  • Another vote for spray and wash. Oxi-clean if it has been laundered already

I have used Shout and it still left an imprint of the stain. Tried Oxy Clean. Also left a faded imprint. Used Dawn dish liquid and it removed the stain. Also used auto mechanics hand cleaner and that worked.

    Hi Helen,

Dawn dishwashing liquid has been my go to. I recently read that castile soap is a good degreaser so plan to purchase that too
