If you have a carpet cleaner, I put this stuff and warm water in my water reservoir and clean the carpet with it. You can also use a spray bottle and blot with those sham wow clothes that absorb 20 times their weight in fluid.
First, soak a hot, wet rag with baking soda and let it sit on the rug for a while. Then clean with hot, wet rags until all of the baking soda is gone. Allow it to dry. OR use Carpet Fresh for Pets---- sprinkle generously, let sit, and vacuum.
