Add 1 cup of lemon juice to the wash. Borax is also a great laundry booster and is color safe.

Just wash with cascade. You can soak them for a while if you like. My son played football from age 8 to 18 and would hide his pants so I wouldn't wash them. He said they were too white and people said he didn't play hard .
Oxy clean has a whitener/brightener that’s not a bleach.
Find out if your water contains iron. Iron react with bleach and other chemicals and shows up "rusty" in water. That will color your whites and lights. You may need to filter your water. If iron is not the problem try adding a blueing agent.
