How do you remove oil and bacon grease stains from clothing?

    Rub some dishwashing liquid onto the grease stains before washing in the washing machine.

    Soak them with blue dawn dish soap

    Pretreat the stain with Dawn. You can use hot water (even boiling water) to loosen up the stains, scrub with Dawn and rinse. Repeat as necessary.


    For good measure, rub in some Tide or other good laundry detergent in the stain and then wash.

    Hand wash area with Dawn Platinum then wash as usual in the machine with a stain remover such as Oxy. Air dry to make sure all the grease came out. Repeat as necessary.

    soak spots with Dawn dish liquid. After washing do not put in dryer. Let item dry to check that spots are removed or fading. Try again as needed.

    Instead of hand soap in dispensers, I put dawn dishwashing soap. Trained the family to apply soap on stains immediately when they got oil, foods that stain on the spot or any stainable entities and throw in hamper. Not only does it remove most of those items, I don’t have to watch for these when I do laundry.
