How do you remove red wine stain from rug?

    I would use spray oxyclean. Worked for me on an oriental.

    Take a wet rag and lay it on top of the red wine and then take your steam iron and run it over the wet rag, don’t lol at me it does really work. My wife thought I was crazy and I did it and she almost passed out after she saw wh it did.

    Sprinkle some baking soda on the stain. Then pour on a little vinegar. Let it foam up. Blot with a clean cloth or paper towels. Do not rub. It will spread the stain. Wipe down with a damp cloth to clean any residue.

    As with most stains, it's best to blot the stain to remove any wine that hasn't been absorbed yet. You can use paper towels or a clean cloth. In a small bowl, pour two cups of warm water. Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar and one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid.

    Pour white wine on it. It will disapear, then blot.
