    Oxy-clean works well. Also, there is a Rit product you can purchase that is a color remover, just follow the directions on the package.

    Soak in 1/3 bottle of hydrogen peroxide and warm water in a basin for about 30 minutes. Launder as usual. I don't use bleach. Tends to make whites dingy and breaks down the fibers over time. I use 1/3 bottle along with my detergent in the washer when washing whites. Most oxygen detergents are peroxide based.

    I used Oxyclean for whites. I was amazed at the dirty gray water that came out of the garment.

    Mrs. Stewart's Bluing or similar will make your whites blindingly white. Make sure to first thoroughly dissolve 1 or 2 drops of bluing in a cup of cool water before adding it to your wash water.

  • I like good old bleach in the load of laundry.
