Assuming you haven't washed it yet, make a paste of blue Dawn and corn starch. The Dawn will cut the grease and the corn starch will soak it up. If you have already washed and dried it is probably set. I keep blue Dawn in all bathrooms, utility room and kitchen. It will removes most any stain.

try Dreft spray(found in the baby aisle of grocery stores or Walmart) it takes many set in stains out of everything i have tried it on. Just spray the area rub it in and wash. Do not let it sit, you must wash it once you spray it or it will leave a stain.

Hello Johanne; I would cover the grease with a very heavy amount of cheap baby power, and I would let it set for a few days.

If the powder is absorbed, I would add more.

Shake off powder and throw away.

Cover what is left of the grease with dawn.

Let this sit, and then hand wash and see how it looks. Repeat until the grease is gone!!!

I hope that this helps you!!! I was able to get out a badly set oil stain this way, on an Antique Kimono!!!!!

    Take Care!

soak it with Dawn, that's how they clean black oil off birds, a vg degreaser. Let it sit, then rub it gently, then wash by hand to see if it needs more soaking
