Hi Bridgette. I'm Cindy. If you want to clean an entire room of carpet, I recommend renting a steam cleaner from your local home improvement store. If you want to clean anything less, I recommend using Woolite's Rug and Upholstery Cleaner. I have used both of these methods, and been happy with results. Good luck Bridgette.

I agree about steam cleaning. I purchased a Bissell on sale and it was a great purchase. It has an upholstery attachment that is worth its weight in gold. I find if I clean carpet before it looks really dirty it wears better and is easier to clean. A plus is how it lifts pet fur out of the carpet. I spot clean with vinegar and baking soda, but prefer the concentrate they sell.
