How do you get the moldy musty smell out of t-shirts & sweat pants?

I washed them twice. The odor lingerson the clothes.

You may need to sanitize the washing machine, Hot water and bleach or follow the manufactures suggestion for your particular model.
The clothes were in a home that is musty, moldy odor. I was trying to eliminate the odor out of the clothes.
It is not my washer.
They were received that way. Any other suggestions?. I washed them in Purex
Dirt Lift Clear & Free 2x.
Soak in white vinegar.
