Put a towel inside under the shirt. Spray the stain with a good amount of hairspray. Allow it to set for a minute or two, then blot (don't rub) the area with a clean cloth

I would use water and soap but I don´t know wheter sisal rugs shrink with water. Some stains are from spilling drinks, some others were produced by pets.
Try hairspray lightly
Alcohol on a q-tip works or fingernail polish remover.

These are great answers! I've found alcohol works best, but hairspray and nail polish remover work good too.
Follow Bobbie's advice.....it works even if you have washed and dried the item.
