    I like using plain white vinegar in my carpet shampooer....no chemicals, etc. If you have tough stains, spray them with vinegar before shampooing, and sprinkle a bit of baking soda on the stain. Works really well for me.

    I use resolve and spray any spots with liquid laundry Oxy-clean.

    I spot clean first then use vinegar. If you choose to use some kind of carpet shampoo, go over the carpet a couple times after shampooing with clear water to make sure you get ALL soap residue out as that attracts dirt and you will have a dirty carpet sooner.

    I'm a retired professional dog trainer of 46+ years. If you have dogs or cats, use NATURE'S MIRACLE purchased from Pet Smart, not Walmart as it is watered down there. It is the best at getting out the odors and will not bring the animal back for re-marking.
