Cleaning Tile Floors Dollar Tree Style

So I clean every day, BUT deep cleaning is a must come Spring time. I mean getting on your hands and knees and cleaning that grout. I was cleaning my floor 2 times a day because I had an older dog and towards the end he just wasn’t always making it to the back yard 😢. Well my poor old guy passed a few week’s ago. So I was looking at my floors just sick how they looked. I could only clean so much, but they still looked so dirty.

I used bleach, vinegar, and other cleaners now mind you I built this house last November so why was it so nasty? Well I saw this Awesome at the Dollar Tree I liked the name and remembered someone saying they cleaned with it. I picked up a bottle. It didn’t come with the sprayer looked to be a refill bottle, But I was throwing out my old bleach bottle. So I could use that. I cleaned the sprayer and used it for the top luckily it fit! So let me show what I did step by step and you can see for your self how awesome it turned out!

What I used:

mop and bucket

drill and brush heads

Awesome

hand brush

cup of water

You can pick up this Awesome at the Dollar Tree now if your like me. I could only find the refill bottle. So it didn’t have the spray top so make sure you have one. You will need it to spray. I used one off another cleaning bottle, after I washed it was perfect and fit.

So to begin spray the grout in a small section at a time. My tiles are longer so I usually do two rows maybe three at a time wide. Because I’m on my hands and knees and that’s about my reach without having to be in the mess. I don’t think you want this on you. It says it’s no acid, no Imodium, no bleach, non-flammable. But it does say keep out of reach of children so makes me believe there’s something in there probably not too healthy for you. 😂

Next I used these brush attachments that I purchased on Amazon it came with 4 attachments for only $10 so good price I thought. You just hook them up to your drill.

And turn on and it does the scrubbing for you. This is an easy way. So the minus to doing this is it goes really fast and with that being said the cleaner ends up on the baseboard you can see in the picture so just so you know. You may need to whip down walls and baseboards with this tool. But I found a way to avoid this

I used a hand brush by all the walls and furniture. I just scrubbed by hand and this also works. I tested it and the clean came to the level of clean. With that being said you really could do the whole floor this way but I have 2000 sqft. To do so I found the combo was best and saved my arms a little 😂

Really scrub you see the dirt come off

You can see all the dirt here after I scrubbed a section

Next I just mop all that up real fast

See the dirt before I mop amazing

Then I rise my mop in real hot water

Mop up again

Rinse again

Ring out real good

You’ll see all the soap come up so I do it one one time. So again I spray let sit for a minute, scrub with brush tools or by hand, then mop up dirt and risen two more times.

You will see a huge difference after it drys it really came out Awesome!! 😂 I mean it was a huge difference and I will say it took me 3 days to do as I could only do so much each day because I’m old lol! No because it’s hard on my knees so I think knee pads should be added to the supplies you pick up! But I’m now so happy how it looks it looks brand new again I hope it last because I’m only hoping to do once a year. But I did check what a professional company wanted to charge and it was over $400 so it saved a ton of money yes it did take me a lot of time but I think it was worth the trade-off.

You really can see a big difference

Done it looks great amen! See more tutorials at Gilbert Marketplace on YouTube

Love Awesome! Have been using it for YEARS on basically everything the label suggests especially great on clothes with grease spots.

Ive found the easiest grout cleaner is hydrogen peroxide mixed with water. Use a small brush then wipe clean with a wet rag.
