How to Clean Baseboards

I am not a big fan of having to get on your hands and knees everytime you have to clean the baseboards so I am sharing a quick and easy way to clean those boards without the hard labor!
I try to clean my baseboards everytime I mop. It is essential to really pay attention to the baseboards in the bathroom as they collect dust from tissue and toilet paper.
Everytime I mop I give the baseboards a quick swipe with my clean mop. There are two options.
You can use the whole head of the mop.
Or you can use the side of the mop.

I was wanting to know where you purchased the other mop that is flat and has the microfiber head. Looks like one I had gotten years ago while living overseas. It finally broke after 20 plus some years. I kept the microfiber cover in hopes of finding a new mop.

I have an aide who assists me in keeping the house clean (I'm 70 with medical issues). The younger aides have no idea how to properly clean and I must remind them and teach them how to do things like cleaning baseboards and the bases of toilets. These are the areas most difficult for me to reach to clean thoroughly. I try to find ways to make cleaning easier and time saving because the time they have with me is very limited. I love the dryer sheet idea because it leaves a pleasant smell.

Another quick clean idea for baseboards is to use a Tucks hemorrhoid circle. It is clean, moist, fits itself to the contour of baseboards, the bottom half of the toilet, counter corners, etc. It is white, so you can tell how it is doing, and easily switch to a new one as needed. Also good on the backsplash edge of granite, cabinet knobs, etc. (There is a less expensive copy sold at Walmart.) When I sweep up the kitchen floor, I can get the corners quickly clean this way. Try it and see!
