How do I clean refinished hardwood floors?
Hi Hometalkers, We just refinished our original hardwood floors & have been cleaning with the Bono cleaner ( we were told no water should touch the floors) but it's not cheap. Is there a home remedy I can mix and clean them with that won't ruin the finish? Thanks for help in advance!

Hi Rambie, hmm well I've been cleaning my 100 year old hardwoods with a mix of 50/50 vinegar and water for the last four years and they still look great. I refinished them myself in 2015.
Hi Rambie, when we had ours refinished, we were told to only use a bucket of warm water with about a cup of white vinegar. IT's been six years, and the floors look great!
I'd stick with the bona. We were told the same thing for our refinished floors.
Can't afford it any more :(
Sometimes hardware stores will have similar floor cleaners to Bona for less. Or you could try searching online, maybe there's a comparable option.
