Love my Shark stick broom for quick pick ups and Shark upright for carpets. Both lightweight and have a power setting for carpets or hardwood. Both from QVC during a sale event. They are on sale there all of the time.

That’s a great question looking forward to seeing the recommendations here. We have a Dyson animal that’s huge and cumbersome and a shark stick that we don’t seem to use, we really miss our central vac system.

I have a Shark Navigator Lift Away that is great. It breaks apart so that you can use it similar to a canister. I bought a second one when I took my original (heavier) one to the farm and was tired of lugging back & forth. The second one I got from Macy's and it is much lighter so I can take it to my parents' house & vacuum their floors. Their vacuum is pitiful. The lift away is great for stairs and vehicles. When I use it on a rug, I pick it up and it on the rug, then engage the roller brush.

The dirt devil is very good with dog hair the bagels one.

I love the Shark upright vacs- in the 34 yrs of cleaning houses and using every brand imaginable, this is by far the best one

I got a Bissell clean view a few months ago. We have pets and i needed something to keep all the hair under control and this seems to do that.

What sealed the deal for me was the unit picks up even a large amount of cat litter. The old vacuum just moved it around.

The unit is light weight and easy to maneuver.

Also like that it is self contained and easy to clean.

What did Km mean by the bagels one? The vacuum doesn't pick up bagels. Don't know any vacuum that would pick up and entire bagel.

I have the Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum https://amzn.to/2Uk5j3D It is lightweight and cleans amazingly! I am a cleaner and I've owned a lot of vacuum cleaners, this is my favorite!
