I use a weak solution of Pinesol and water (about a half cup of Pinesol in a bucket of water). Wring your moo really well. I never get streaks and my floors look great. I have been using for years.
the absolute best way is to use a mop made by Norwex. Water only! It leaves no streaks, no hazy film when dry. And it’s such a minimal amount of water that it drys super quick! In the past I used Murphy’s oil soap and on my hands and knees washed and dried. It made the flloors so slippery that it was boarderline dangerous. So no more chemicals for me!
the Norwex products are only available thru sales reps, not in stores, but they are easy to find. Look into them and other products they carry you will not be disappointed
I've had this happen recently too. I used Murphy's Oil Soap and put it on a Swiffer mop head on a damp cloth, scrubbed it good, then dried it well so it didn't streak. Works really good. I don't know about your floors, but we were getting prints on ours because it was raining out and hubby didn't take his shoes off before he came in. The dogs left wet prints on it too. Not a pretty sight! Good luck!
Vinegar is an acid and hardwood floors need a pH neutral or close to it cleaner. When mixed with water, the solution’s acidity is drastically lowered and it becomes an effective method to wash hardwood floors. The vinegar and water mixture cuts through dirt and grime, leaving a streak-free and naturally clean floor.
Equal parts water, vinegar, alcohol
I found I was using too much water and that made the floor dry unevenly and leave streaks. Keep in mind that if your wooden floor has been waxed, using additional wax products on it will produce streaking.
I like bona
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp blue dawn
1 gallon warm water
Mix and wring mop thoroughly. I've been using on my hardwood floors for over 20 years. No streaks and perfect shine.
However, if you have build up of old product, especially wax, you may have to mop multiple times to remove. My mother used mop & glo for years and it took me forever to get hers cleaned.
You can only use this if your floors are sealed.
I use Bona For Hardwood floors
Murphy's Oil Soap and a microfiber mop.
Murphy's Oil Soap works well with microfiber cloth on a Swiffer type mop head. I too found I was using way too much water when trying to have a streak free shine.
The past few years we have been using the BONA mop and solution and we’re very pleased with the results.

I have found Method cleaner to be a quality product.
I have 2 methods. I made spray bottle of white vinegar, a few drops of dawn and water. I spray on my floor and use a microfiber on a swiffer mop. Other than that Zep and Bona are my go to cleaners. I always use microfiber and either go back and dry with a separate cloth or turn on the ceiling fans. Make sure you mop in the same direction of the planks.
A professional wood floor installer told me to use 1 part windex to 3 parts water the water cleans the windex cleans and dries it fast because water is no good for wood floors. Dries streak free
Hi, I use Wet Wipes. when dry (not long) you can go over with a dry cloth if required!
Use a microfiber mop and just water!!! I have one from ecloth and LOVE it!
I get the jumbo sized swiffer like cleaner with the removable pads for all my clients with hardwoods.... I get these as cheap as $15 at grocery outlet when in stock, or the pricey Bona wood floor cleaner kits, or medium priced at home stores..... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hangers+to+increase+space&crid=XSMMU39TXYR4&sprefix=hangers+to+increase%2Caps%2C361&ref=nb_sb_ss_midas-iss-hred_1_19 just throw the pads in the washer.
