Just sand the rust off the spots. Clean your register well. I used a satin finish, a couple of coats. Easy to clean now!Helpful Reply -

Or you could get rid of it. We put toe kick heaters in our bathrooms under the vanity. They're great and you get rid of those nasty heating runs. No matter what we did, they would just rust again. Try scrubbing the rusted areas with a brillo soap pad. Then wipe with a wet cloth to rinse.Helpful Reply -
