Hello. The Bona products very highly rated. Here’s a link with reviews and Q&A for your consideration

I use "Mop and Glo" for ours. Hope this helps Debbie.

    Hi Debbie,

Please, please, please don't use any product that has wax in it (like Mop & Glo). I'm sure you're wondering why I said that, but here's what happened to me. I used to use that all the time until one day we had to replace a piece of our tile. I could NOT believe the difference in color. The product had added layers and layers of wax that had turned yellow over time. Compared to the new tile, the old floor looked filthy but it did shine. Getting it off was horrid. The only thing that worked for me was soaking the tiles with ammonia. What a horrible smell that was our home! I finally gave up and we replaced the floor.

If there is anything I have learned from years of cleaning floors it's not to use any product with wax on any tile or linoleum. Having said that, there are some types of tile that should never be waxed (per manufacturers instructions). Plus some types of tile are not meant to have a shine. Vimarhonor mentioned Bona products and that is one brand that we do use. We have an engineered wood floor and Bona was recommended by the manufacturer. Our floor does NOT shine, but it looks good and has not built up a film that we'll have to remove in the future. We knew it didn't shine when we purchased the flooring so it's all good.

Just my thoughts. :) Wishing you the best!

I use one part vinegar to three parts water and a small squirt of dishwashing liquid. Mix it up and fill my spray and mop devise fitted with microfiber. It works like a charm! They look like new every time all gunk comes up and I have a dog and three cats and a messy husband! In vest in a good spray and mop devise I use one from Ocedar buy extra microfiber mop heads. I got this recipe off of a housekeeping site and it’s brilliant, I used to have kind of a haze on my floors it cleaned it right off!

I really think the trick is the microfiber mop heads and no over wetting, good luck

  • When I had them, I used Bona products with great success.

I do the same as Deborah but after I have mopped I go over the floor with a dry towel wrapped mop. That makes the floor shine. My laminate floor does not have a high shine...just a nice clean shine (if that makes sense).
